About | This inflatable structure is designed for a series of installations across rural Los Angeles. The project is sized to fold into the back seat of my tiny Fiat 500. After unfolding, the piece can be rapidly inflated with a simple box fan sourcing power from a car inverter.

The design takes direct inspiration from Ant Farm, a local architecture firm. Their designs in the 1970’s classic “Inflatocookbook” proved pivotal in creating my own version.

This space works well for overnight campouts and parties. The thin skin of semi-opaque polyethylene is excellent for light shows and projections. Since the space is constantly filled by a low-RPM box fan, the enclosure is relatively well ventilated.
